Legacy Society

The Legacy Society is a group of dedicated individuals who recognize the value of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois and want to support our mission to enhance the quality of life for all in central Illinois.

The role of the Legacy Society is also to broaden public awareness and understanding of the Foundation through the sharing of ideas and information with other Legacy Society members, foundation donors, board members, and staff.

How Do I Become a Member?

You are already eligible for membership in the Legacy Society if you have established a permanent endowment fund with the Community Foundation, or if you have made arrangements in your will or through another planned giving vehicle for a gift to the Foundation. Deferred gifts may take the form of bequests, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance, or other types of charitable planned gifts.

We will be happy to work with you and your advisor to tailor a planned gift that best meets your personal situation. Such gifts may be unrestricted in use, support a particular area of interest such as senior issues, health or the arts, be added to your donor advised fund, or designated in another way you specify.

We encourage you to become a member. Please contact us for more information or to join.
