The Community Foundation of Central Illinois, formed in 1988 as the Peoria Area Community Foundation, was established by a group of community-minded citizens to meet a wide variety of social, cultural, educational, and other charitable needs throughout central Illinois. We work to meet these needs through the distribution of income from endowment funds established by our generous donors.
The Community Foundation of Central Illinois carries out our mission by building permanent endowments as charitable capital for the central Illinois community. We maintain high professional standards in the investment and management of the funds entrusted to the Foundation. We also promote effective and efficient grant making to serve current and future needs of central Illinois.
The Community Foundation of Central Illinois acts as a vehicle to serve donors with varied interests, at various levels of charitable giving. We link donors with the charitable agencies that can most efficiently carry out the objectives and desires of the donors. We offer maximum flexibility in terms of assets that can be used to create a fund and options for the use of donors' gifts.
